“SCOLLAMENTI RECLUSI”, A PROJECT BY GIULIO CEPPI
Art entered prisons and transformed prisoners into “creators” thanks to the “Scollamenti Temporali” experience ideated by the architect and designer Giulio Ceppi. In early March 2019, a group of inmates of the Ucciardone (Palermo) and San Vittore (Milan) prisons, attended the seminars and workshops conducted by Ceppi & Fortunato D’Amico.
The collages were all about mixing art masterpieces fragments and modern fashion and lifestyle magazines campaigns, resulting in unpredictable new relationships between art and fashion. The collages and the video backstage on the project had been presented during a dedicated exhibition at La Triennale di Milano on March 2019.
