The exhibition “Icons, Innovations & Firsts: Stories of Heritage and Progress From the Levi’s® Archives”, curated by the Levi’s® Historian Tracey Panek, is an exploration of the brand’s rich and storied heritage that highlights the evolution and impact of the modern blue jean since its invention in 1873. Demonstrating the many social, technical, and cultural innovations that separate us from the beginning of this extraordinary journey, the pioneering archival garments on display, coming from the Levi’s® Archives in San Francisco, invite conversations around progress. The exhibition, from April 5th to 26th, 2024, at the Spazio delle Culture, MUDEC - Museum of Culture in Milan, invites visitors to embark on a journey from the 1850s Gold Rush to Silicon Valley’s high-tech revolution, from miners and cowboys to inventors, thinkers and artists, discovering how Levi's® reflects the constantly evolving times – a truly timeless garment for all ages.
